Energetic playlist for a righteous vinyasa flow

Updated: Jul 1, 2019

I’ve always listened to typical “yoga music” for my practice, filled with soothing flutes and nature sounds - thunderstorms and rolling oceans. I still love those tracks but I recently switched it up and created this playlist with everyday music. It’s great because it’s energetic and soulful at the same time. It has a mix of faster-paced songs with rest periods built in for child’s and corpse pose moments.

I open with 3-5 sun salutations, mix a combination of challenging asanas with rest periods throughout. I love doing inversions to “Shake it Out,” followed by Savasana for “Tennessee Whiskey”. Sometimes I got into it with a plan, but others I’ll just do what I feel for that day and not focus too much on the details or which body parts I’m working.

This playlist is ten songs, 45 minutes. Best of all every one of the songs is available on amazon music. So here it is, Give it a try, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Broken Halos, Chris Stapleton

Sing, Ed Sheeran

Say Something, Justin Timberlake [feat. Chris Stapleton]

Viva La Vida, Coldplay

Give Me Love, Ed Sheeran

Delicate, Taylor Swift

Natural, Imagine Dragons

Like a Wercking Ball, Eric Church

Shake it Out, Florence + The Machine

Tennessee Whiskey, Chris Stapleton

I absolutely love my home yoga practice, and it’s even better when you have an awesome playlist. What are some of your favorite songs for your practice? Comment below, I need some more tunes.

Namaste.
